June 24, 2024, I returned to work at Digital Federal Credit Union following federally protected FMLA leave. In the month that followed, I engaged in mission-aligned work — including DEIB contributions — and attempted to reintegrate with care.
But on July 31, during a one-on-one conversation with my supervisor, I was violated — emotionally, energetically, and professionally. I reported the incident that same day.
By that weekend, I was hospitalized with Bell’s Palsy — my nervous system manifesting what systems refused to name: workplace harm, systemic neglect, and bureaucratic betrayal.
On August 5, while still recovering, I received a letter from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Civil Rights Division declining to intervene in my civil rights complaint.
